Role: Art Direction, 3D, Design
This project was a dive into experimental design and compositing processes, where I pulled in some unfamiliar tools (like Ebsynth and Akvis paint filtering) and acquainted myself with some heavier VFX workflows like 3D object and camera tracking in C4D. I teamed up with illustrator Dustin Joseph Powers, and we honed in on a look that emphasized the early drafting stages of the BMW manufacturing process. This allowed me to take BMW’s footage into an architectural world that merged NPR, traditional rendering, and straightforward motion design techniques.
